My journey into Wellness began in 2003 at the age of 51. I was a recent empty nester. During the previous 23 years, my husband and I raised three exceptional children. We have been married for more than four decades. Taking care of myself was not my priority until 2003 when I took a course on nutrition. The information I learned from this course gave me the tools I needed to begin my transformation. I began exercising for the first time since following the early Jane Fonda videos. Taking Pilates classes was my mode of exercise at first. Soon after, I joined a gym. It was at this gym that I took my first yoga class. At this point in my life, I was not very flexible and had not realized how much I needed yoga. The instructor was kind and patient. Over time, I came to appreciate the benefits of yoga. In 2011, at the age of 59, I decided to become certified as a yoga instructor so that I could bring yoga into the lives of other women. Teaching one-on-one private sessions is my expertise. I thrive on personalizing each session for my clients, adjusting each session to meet them where they are that day. I have taught private yoga sessions for women continually since 2011. In 2014, wonderful grandchildren began to enter my life. I enjoy spending time with them, gardening, raising chickens, crafting, and so much more.
During the summer of 2020, at the height of the Pandemic, I broke my right ankle. Fortunately, during my recovery, because of the help from my husband and daughter, I had time to become a Certified Personal Trainer. This certification allows me to incorporate weights and other tools along with traditional yoga, bringing a unique experience to each session. In 2021, I added the Stretching and Flexibility Coach certification. During this course, I discovered Stick Mobility and added the instructor certification in 2022. My clients benefit from using the Mobility Sticks during Yoga/Fitness sessions.
In 2023, at the age of 71, I became a Certified Wellness Coach. Over the past several years, my exploration in the areas of movement, fitness, and self-awareness has invigorated my life. I am eager to work with you to propel your Wellness forward.

Yoga is a great way to improve your endurance for other physical activities. After a workout, yoga will help your body relax while stretching and strengthening.
Yoga not only improves your body, but also helps with mindfulness and meditation. Take a break from daily life in order to focus on yourself and get clarity.
Some resources I can provide to support my client's yoga journey are pictures of them in poses to review and then improve the individual posture and placement. I also offer customized lessons that are ever-evolving and adapting to your personal growth.
Balance training involves doing exercises that strengthen the muscles that help keep you upright, including your legs and core. These kinds of activities can improve stability and help prevent falls. Balance training is suitable for people of any age and fitness level. Isolating individual muscles and focusing on your specific needs. Core stabilization and overall strengthening of the pelvic floor will help reduce your risk of incontinence and improve bladder control. Freedom of movement is for all ages, whether you are already dealing with some tough issues or looking for preventative exercise. Yoga will help you learn to trust your body.
Together, we will work with a disciplined method for attaining your goal; use techniques of controlling the body and the mind to improve your well-being. Vicki is a Certified Yoga Teacher. She is also certified as a Personal Trainer and a Stretching and Flexibility Coach. Vicki recently added a certification as a Stick Mobility Coach. This diverse education allows her to tailor sessions to meet clients' needs. Vicki is also a Certified Wellness Coach for Women.
